Replacing A Leaking Tiled Roof In A Conservation Area

The flat roof of a single storey extension became a beautiful terrace at a Boxford home in the Lambourn Valley, with the professional service of Rooftek Advance. Nadeem Haider explains how the transformation took place. “We had planning permission to turn the flat roof into a terrace balcony and we needed a protective flooring and balustrades for the 28 metres perimeter, which needed to be weathered to prevent the ingress of water. “It was quite a specialist job, and it was initially difficult to find someone who knew what they were doing, and we actually found Rooftek on Google. Jill explains more: “When we first moved into our house, we decided my parents would come and live with us and we built a complete unit for them, a one-story self-contained extension at the back of our home.
