Copper Bottom is a striking new build designed by Adrian James Architects, located on Harcourt Hill near Oxford. Completed in late 2023, the home has received national attention, featuring in The Guardian and RICA’s architectural magazine for its bold copper-clad design and zero-carbon credentials.

Rooftek Advance Scope of Work

Rooftek Advance was appointed to deliver the full roofing package for this ambitious architectural project. Our brief required precision, performance, and a clean integration with the building’s expressive folded copper form.

  • 77 linear metres of Renolit Alkor Solar Carrier System for PV integration
  • Mansafe cable system installed for safe maintenance access
  • Renolit Alkorplan non-slip walkway for permanent rooftop safety

Challenges & Solutions

The shallow roof pitch and high-performance solar array required faultless waterproofing and careful detailing. Working around the complex copper cladding and integrating safety systems without disrupting the visual lines demanded expert planning and precision.
